Merry Day After Christmas!

So, I'm actually blogging again. I feel bad cause I haven't written anything lately. Good ideas mean nothing if you're not gonna put them into action, or in this case, put them onto paper.

Right now I'm just hangin' out with my sister, her "not boyfriend", and Garrett, who made an awesome poster for Harry Parody & the Deathly Hallows, that I would love to share;

Awesome isn't it?!

Harry Parody & the Deathly Hallows is coming to AddisonThe15th on Youtube, February 2011!

I Understand

The pieces of my mind lay scattered across the floor,
and as my clumbsy human hands attempt to pick up the shards of thought,
the jagged edges of my dreams pierce my skin.

My presious crimson blood drips on the carpet,
leaving deep stains that cannot be removed with a mere damp cloth,
nor by the burning flames of doubt.

I will leave a mark on this house,
that will inspire the future generations to take caution,
to keep their goals in sight.

I will not allow my children to lose hope.
This mark may fade with time,
but it will never be forgottn completely.

For my future, my plans, and my ambitions,
belong to God, & God exists outside of time.

Some Say: John

It's the first day of my senior year...and I couldn't be more unexcited. I have no car, my team's been cut, and it's been exactly one month since Ashley told me that she "needed a break". Carson keeps telling me to be positive, but I don't wanna be. If I don't get hit by a car on my way to school, I'm totally skipping 7th period.

By the way, Mom told me you were concerned that this whole divorce thing is getting to me. Don't be. I'm fine. I'll see you when you get back. - John

Send.

John sat for a moment, just staring at the computer screen. He didn't care anymore that he only saw his dad once a month, if even that much. When everything else was falling apart, how could he care about something he had no say in.

“John,” his mother called from downstairs. “Come eat your breakfast, Sweetie!”

John rolled his eyes and started for the door. “Happy first day of school, John.” he said unenthusiastically to himself.

Carson was waiting for John at the front entrance of the school, when he rolled up on his very worn skateboard. Seeing his gloomy look, she quickly walked over to him and gave him a hug.

John smiled and thanked her. “I'm fine.” he assured her.

“Really? Because you look terrible.” she countered.

“Thank you. That made me feel loads better.”

Carson grabbed John by the arm and steered him inside. “So, I saw Ashley like five minutes before you got here. You two on speaking terms yet?”

“Not really. And no, I don't wanna talk about it.”

“Okay.” Carson obliged without really wanting to. “Then let's talk about what you're going to do instead of tennis this year.”

“Um, nothing.” John announced as they walked to their homeroom.

“Oh, for goodness sakes! You can't just do nothing your senior year of high school.”

“You say it like it's a crime.”

Carson sighed. “John, please. You could join drama club with me.” she suggested.

“You forget who else is in drama club.” John said as they approached the door of their classroom.

John reached for the handle, but Carson stepped in front of him. “Alright Blondie, listen up, and listen good.” she whispered. “You cannot avoid Ashley all year long. You two need to talk.”

“She doesn't wanna talk to me, Cars.”

Carson gave one last plea before opening the door. “Just try to be friendly.”

John followed Carson into the room, assessing her wishes in the back of his mind. As he sat down at a desk parallel to hers, he looked across the room towards a group of girls, sharing stories about their summer vacation. His eyes traveled to each face until he found Ashley's striking, deep brown eyes, staring back at him. Ashley smiled and waved in his direction. John tried to return the smile, but he could only give a half grin and a lift of his hand.

Carson put a hand on John's shoulder. “At least she's happy to see you?”

John's brow furrowed. He took one last glance at Ashley, before their homeroom teacher walked in and called for their attention.

I Hate It When You Cry :'(

Little girl in the corner, alone inside your room,
I see you from the doorway, but my legs refuse to move.
I want to pick you up, and take away the pains,
chase away the sadness, and bleach out all the stains.

Others don't see your sorrow, you hide behind a mask.
Deep inside it's killing you, and I want to help so bad.
Of all the things I messed up, leaving you was the worst,
maybe if I had stuck around, your vains would not have burst.

All I have to give to you, a heartfelt warm embrace,
a prayer to God to aid you, and my sleeve to wipe your face.
I feel the teardrops trickling, down my shoulder blade.
I hate to feel you cry, it makes my heart afraid.

Man conflicted with stress, sickness and loss,
you take all upon yourself, your agenda is filled across.
I watch you work yourself to death, every single day,
I wait, but still I've yet to see God give you any pay.

I cannot comprehend His ways, but my faith is still with Him,
in Heaven you will receive your reward, I'll believe that to the end.
I feel I must be honest, I wish to tell no lie,
I want to make you feel better, because I hate it when you cry.

All I have to give to you, a heartfelt warm embrace,
a prayer to God to aid you, and my sleeve to wipe your face.
I feel the teardrops trickling, down my shoulder blade.
I hate to feel you cry, it makes my heart afraid.

It already hurts to know, that one of you is broken,
but two a day is madness, like salt on a wound wide open.
So I'll pray for a better tomorrow, for each of you tonight,
that you might laugh in chorus, and smile at the coming Light.

There's More To Life Than Shopping???

You know those people, who have a closet and a million drawers filled with clothes and shoes, and yet they still spend their limited amount of free time sitting at their computer looking for new clothes? Yeah, well, I'm one of those people. I have no idea why, but when it comes to clothes, I go crazy! I have way too much clothes as it is, but I still want more. Why? I would love to say that it's genetic. My mom's a shopaholic, so I have to be too. Nope, that's not it. It's really just me. Yes, I am a bargain shopper. I don't usually buy expensive clothes, but if I'm buying twice as much for half as much...um, I'm not a math wiz, but I think that adds up to I'M NOT SAVING ANY MONEY!
I bet your trying to figure out the point of this little rant, right? And here it is, I have a solution!
You know all those clothes that sit at the back of your closet and never get used. As long as they aren't tattered and gross. You can sell them in a garage sale, or take them to a gently used clothing store; anything that doesn't sell, you can take to a local life center, charity or church. You're making a bit of money and giving back to the community as well.
Oh, and anytime you feel like you just have to buy something that you don't really need, think of a better way to spend your money. Think of your responsibilities. If your taking money out of your tithes or savings to go shopping, then you probably aren't being very responsible. Save your money for things that you really need. Also, remind yourself that if you spend a bunch of money on clothes, that takes away money you might want later for gas, going out with friends, special events or even an emergency. Think about the future and if you even have space in your closet for more clothes. Or instead of shopping, watch a movie at a friend's house, go swimming, or take a walk. There are plenty of things you can do that don't involve spending a bunch of money. There's more to life than shopping, a lot more.

Intro to Faith

My name is Jessica Faith and this is my first blog on blogspot! I actually have a huge headache today, so I'm gonna make this short. I am a Christian. I love God a lot. He's my best friend.
All of my stories (fiction or non-fiction) are God centered. This blog is for everyone in the world, but I'm mostly writing it for the people who need a bit of guidance, and the Christian teens out there who constantly struggle with their faith. You guys are not alone. I'm here to be your friend, and as your friend I should tell you that this road is not suppose to be easy. There are going to be many tests that you fail and also tests that you pass. It's okay to fall down in your faith, because God is always ready to help you back onto your feet. Most of my stories will deal with this issue. I can't wait for you to read them, friend!
